Finger Combinations
These exercises are designed to help your fretting hand become adept at any combination of notes that are thrown at you. Start with the simple 'spider' in figure 1 then try out some combinations from the table below.

Try playing through figure 1 at a tempo that you feel comfortable with. Use alternate picking (down, up, down, up and so on). Once you are comfortable with this exercise, try it with a variety of different combinations from the table below:
